Humane Lobby Day - Albany - March 24th

at the Legislative Office Building. This is an all-important day with hundreds of advocates from across the state, coming together to meet with legislators and to lobby for better animal protection laws.Rewarding, empowering, exciting and easy are words we often hear from folks who join us for this life-changing event.

What is Humane Lobby Day about and what can I expect?

• It's a one-day event where you'll have the chance to meet with your elected officials or their staff.

• There will be a bill briefing and a training with tips for lobbying. It doesn't matter if you're new to lobbying or unfamiliar with the issues—what's important is your presence.

• Guest speakers will include:

       • Brian Shapiro, New York State Director, The HSUS

       • Matthew Dominguez, Public Policy Manager for Farm Animal Protection, The HSUS

       • Bruce Friedrich, Director of Policy and Advocacy, Farm Sanctuary

       • Holly Cheever, DVM, Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association
